It is time again for our Angel Cat Tree donation program to help the homeless cats at the Lexington Humane Society. Each year from Thanksgiving through the New Year, we collect supplies needed by the cats at LHS. We have a holiday tree in the lobby of the cat hospital decorated with cat angel ornaments. Items needed are printed on the back of each ornament. You can help by donating the item listed on the back of one or more angel cat ornaments. Simply bring the items to Lexington Hospital for Cats before the New Year. You can also call the office for donation suggestions.

This year we will be collecting cash and check donations for the American Veterinary Medical Foundation’s (AVMF)Veterinary Care Charitable Fund. Donations to this fund are tax-deductible and will allow us to help provide services to service cats such as Hobbs, the Mounted Police stable cat, disabled military veterans, neglected or abandoned cats, cats impacted by local disasters, and cats involved in cruelty cases. Limited assistance from the fund is available for clients fleeing a family violence situation, seniors who have limited funds, and persons displaced by unforeseen financial disaster.

A portion of each donation will go into the AVMF’s Greatest Need Fund to be used to provide veterinary care for underprivileged and disabled pet owners and to support veterinary response to major disasters across the USA. Please consider making a donation online or in person to our Veterinary Care Charitable Fund.
